![]() We’re sorry that your daughter's birthday celebration was anything other than awesome. This was my daughters birthday present and I have to say, Dave and busters has started going down hill. We didn’t even get to play all of them and had to spend most of the time waiting for someone to come and fix it because it took our chips. Then the games- almost every game we tried to play went down. The meal was over cooked and honestly I have eaten the same thing here a million times and it just wasn’t up to par. She didn’t get us napkins or anything even though we ordered ribs. it would have been nice to know that before hand? She was extremely rude about it. It didn’t have the cube and it wasn’t the same drink she ordered. We placed our drink order and my daughter got the snow globe drink, she was excited because it had the light up cube in it. We sat down and our waitress seemed to have an attitude. When we first walked in, we waited forever at the counter for someone to walk over to seat us, we had to flag someone down to do so. We were so excited to bring her here and we were going to have lunch and then play games. We took our daughter here for the first time, my husband and I have been 100 times before and usually, we love it. Remember that time you had the winning-est day? That day was this day. We will be back next week! Ty guys at Tempe Marketplace for being a class act ! We also get 150 more credits per $100 we spend then the local place. U can imagine with 5 kids trying to pick things out around closing it’s probably exhausting and annoying but she is sooooo sweet to us. The girl that closes in the ticket shop is like the kindest most patient girl. The VR people were their in a minute as soon as my daughter bought a VR on the app. The maintenance guy that fixes the machines is so freaking fast. The bartenders don’t ignore u even if u are asking for a water or refill. They were patient and explained everything to us even though it was late. The minute we walked in we loved the people at the front desk. I can honestly say the service has been top notch from every employee we have encountered. We found out Dave and Busters had half off night on Wednesdays as well on arcade games. We go to a local place that is very similar to Dave and Busters on Wednesday nights for half Off night. ![]() The environment is not what most people expect getting into it and I had trained people and watched them leave within a month because of the long and weird hours and chaotic environment.I was hesitant to try Dave and Busters Because it’s a chain and I have 5 children. Very high turnover rate resulting in understaffing. The night shift after a couple months becomes hard to cope with if you’re attending school or have other responsibilities. We don’t close till 1, and usually leave around 130-2. Very high volume and fast paced, and after 8 hours of loud music, huge lines and dealing with very drunk customers, it is draining. They love giving new hires 4-5 days a week and the more experienced staff 2-4. Tends to operate in a weird backwards way of, the longer you work the less hours you get. They often visit once or twice during your 8 hour shift just to tell you what you are doing wrong, then leave. Management is very disorganized and does not really acknowledge the staff in the arcade area. Even if you’re scheduled with more than one person it’s likely you or them will be cut short. If you are scheduled alone good luck getting a break, or even using the bathroom. You can occasionally take home damaged items depending on the location Some of the customers can be fun to interact with I made made many friends in the time that I worked here. The people you work with (winners circle and game techs) are some of the nicest most welcoming people you’ll ever meet, always ready to cover your breaks or help with tasks if you do the same.
